Project90 is a student-run club at the University of Calgary dedicated to making positive impacts on both local and global communities. By applying theoretical knowledge to real-world problems, we aim to support underprivileged communities and foster sustainable development.
We partner with NGOs and non-profits to offer University of Calgary students opportunities to work on projects that empower communities locally and globally. Through diverse projects, we aim to teach the next generation of engineers critical thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions for various challenges.
“We learned that 90% of the engineering resources in the world benefits 10% of the world,” says John Ip, Project90’s second president. This realization inspired our slogan, "Engineering for the other 90%." While we emphasize engineering, we welcome students from all disciplines, including science, business, and other fields, to contribute their expertise and passion to our initiatives.
If you're passionate about making a difference and want to contribute to a legacy of designing a better world, we welcome you to join Project90. Together, we can create a lasting impact on communities in need.
