This year we have four amazing projects that will provide you with the opportunity to volunteer with local and global non-profit organizations: Lite: Solar Project, Orchard Irrigation Project, Reach Software Project & REDESIGN: Children's Center Project. Our projects can give you experience using in-demand applications and technologies such as Microsoft Azure, AutoCAD, MongoDB and many more! Project90 can give you real-world leadership experience and engineering experience in the fields of software, electrical, civil, mechanical, geomatics and many more! |
We are also planning a trip to Harbu Chulule, Ethiopia in the spring/summer of 2022 for two of our projects i.e. Lite: Solar Project and Orchard Irrigation Project. Members of the Lite: Solar Project will travel to install the solar energy system designed for the school’s computer lab and the Orchard Irrigation Project will help install an irrigation system for an orchard and Tree Nursery in Harbu Chulule, Ethiopia.

Project90 is hosting our annual Roadmaps event which exposes students to non-profit technical careers that are both innovative and rewarding. By recognizing Calgarians' achievements in this area, we hope to inspire students to make a meaningful difference in their local and global communities. This event celebrates social entrepreneurship and Canada's contributions on the world stage while providing an opportunity to network with representatives from local NGO's.

Project90 Recruitment for Project Managers:
Water Quality Improvement Web Program Project: Project90 has partnered with Reach Worldwide to work on a project involving creation of an application focused on water quality, maintenance for various water sites in developing countries. Project Managers will be work with Azure and MongoDB, to make this project possible. The application will be able to accumulate data from water sites, providing information on repair and replacement and possibilities for task and asset management. Reach the World makes the benefits of travel accessible to classrooms, inspiring students to become curious, confident global citizens. Enabled by our digital platform, classrooms and volunteer travelers explore the world together.

HOPEthiopia Orchard Irrigation Project: Project90 has partnered with HOPEtheopia to work on a project designing an irrigation system for an orchard in Harbu Chulule, Ethiopia. The apple orchards are being hand-watered each day and want to implement a new process that is both efficient and needs less human interaction. The mission of HOPEthiopia is twofold: firstly, to raise Ethiopian children into citizens with exceptional moral standards and strength of character; and secondly, to restore the values of purpose and dignity to the lives of Ethiopian people.

HOPEthiopia Solar Project: Project90 with HOPEthiopia to work on building a solar energy system for a school in Harbu Chulule, Ethiopia. There is a computer lab in the school however the connected grid is unreliable and they are unable to integrate digital learning properly. At this moment they are planning to power 50 mini-pc’s. The mission of HOPEthiopia is twofold: firstly, to raise Ethiopian children into citizens with exceptional moral standards and strength of character; and secondly, to restore the values of purpose and dignity to the lives of Ethiopia’s homeless people.

Margaret Inspire Africa + Sam Survivors Fund Project: Project90 will be working with Inspire Africa and Survivors fund in Rwanda to design a small children's complex which includes a small playground and library sufficient enough to host events. The project will include elements such as, engineering drafting software (SolidWorks), budgeting, interior designing and consideration of utilities. Inspire Africa and Survivors help raise funds in support of community-based initiatives in Rwanda that will advance education, promote gender equality and assist Survivors and their communities to become self sufficient.
